Hiya! So glad you’re here. I’m not a huge fan of talking about myself, but I am a huge fan of talking (if we’ve spent more than 15 minutes together you already know this) so I guess I’ll give this my best shot.

 I know I’ve been putting this off for nearly 9 months, and I don’t really have a good excuse as to why I would wait – but I waited.

Speaking of waiting – I’ve been writing this page for about a week, and when I finally finished and clicked “update” it failed. Great. Now I don’t remember what I wrote. I assure you it was poetic and masterfully crafted –  this second run might be lacking.

But I digress.

You’ve been around long enough to know by know that I’m a story teller. I love stories – probably more than baking & cooking, but there’s nothing that compares to sharing a good story over a good meal.

Story telling, baking, cooking – what else can I share with you? I married my best friend in 2007. He’s a talented man who is kind, funny, and most importantly lives his faith beautifully everyday. We had our first son in December 2012, and are LOVING this new chapter of our lives. Now I have two Tylyn’s in my life, and I am doubly blessed (although the older one goes by Ty now ;)

God is good, and providing for us daily. We have been blessed to move back to Chicago after 8 years in California, and are closer to our immediate families. Speaking of families – ours is getting bigger every day with one niece who’s already here, and a handful of nieces, nephews, and second cousins who will be making their debuts in 2013.

That’s enough about me for now. You’ll find out plenty if you get to reading my posts – possibly more than you’d bargained for ;)
